• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi guy's,

i rent spyders on the beautiful island of St. Maarten for a living,
i'm having some trouble with a few of my bikes i'm hoping you can help.

1. Spyder Runs as i place it into 1st gear with out giving gas. (2 of my bikes are doing this)
2. gas gauge not working spider always shows empty.
3. when slowly riding off the rear wheel / belt makes loud clacking noise. i'm thinking maybe its to stiff...

eager to read what you guys think.

thanks

1. If you have not made any fuel/air mods, the fast idle can be caused by unmetered air entering the system. Listen for a hissing sound near the intake. Also check all hoses. If you can't detect any, spray some carb cleaner in the area. If the idle changes, there's your problem. Do NOT use starting ether.

2. Gas gauge will need electrical trouble shooting.

3. Belt crackling. Do you have a cricket gauge? If not, you will just have to change the adjustment slightly and try it.

I would suggest bringing in a certified BRP technician and give the bikes a good going over. They have taken a beating from the salt rich climate and many tourists who rent them with little care. I know it will be at a cost but it is your investment in the ongoing business. We did rent two bikes from you several years ago and had a great time.

@Grandpot Thanks for the suggestions i will definitely try them out.

@DGoebel i haven't checked for stones, didn't even come to mind :sour: thanks

@tjsox it is costly to have one come over but i do think its time a professional gave them a tune up, Happy to hear you've actually visited & rented, do come back again.
