• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 RTL Digital Display Question

Hi Folks, we recently purchased a 2014 RTL SE6 and the digital display has an orange background... I’ve seen other photos that show the same digital display on the same model year with a white background and yet I can’t find anything about changing it or what the significance of the display color might be.... Any insight appreciated !

Ok, I think Im able to answer my own question... seems the digital display will use a light color when the ambient light is bright and change to a darker color when it gets darker out.... the orange background scared me... I thought it was an indication of a problem. All is well !

Glad you picked up on this so quickly. Right after I purchased my 214 RTS SE6 I headed west towards Prescott, AZ. I hit the road about 5am the next morning and my only thought was that I had that “dreaded orange screen” but could find no error code number. I slowed down until daylight when the rising sun finally figured it was simply an IO problem (Idiot Operator). I had a really enjoyable trip after this.

Sensor is in the speedo. Try about the 10 o'clock position. Some people have covered the sensor with black tape so they can use the orange color full time.

The idea was to have the color change for nighttime driving. I have only had the night time ops go on one time here. We don't ride at night...which can be 3:00 AM here in the great white north.
