There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2014 RT-S Delivery question

I'll be taking delivery of a 2014 RT-S soon. It is being shipped to from Texas. Will the driver be expecting a tip? If so, how much would be appropriate? The Spyder should be a nice upgrade from the Triumph America I've driving for the last 8 years. Super excited!!!

For me being the cheap bas###d I am it would depend on if he was a one man operation or worked for a big company and his attitude. That being said the last job I had was delivering sign supplies, sometimes multiple sheets of heavy OSB 4x8 sheets on a route through WI and S MN,rain or shine, warm or freezong cold, no one ever offered a tip, lots of cold beverages and snacks, but no cash.

A single driver....received in good condition.....helpful in unloading......good attitude.....on time..... $50.

You are getting a machine worth 22-25K. Enjoy. He probably won't expect a tip, but......

:spyder2:

:D You could always give him THIS tip: "Never try to pee into the wind..." :roflblack:

But that's only after the bike has been successfully unloaded! nojoke

Shipping

I need to have a 2014 RT-S shipped from St. Charles (St. Louis), MO to Atlanta area. What do you think is a good price. I have a quote for $500 in an enclosed trailer.

Bob, you are wrong in this case. The driver is from Texas.....He will have a Glock in his pocket....

 I'm glad that you reminded me of that! :D
In that case: you can still give the same tip... but you have to do it as you're handing an open bottle of Tequila to him!

I think that is a very good gesture, and a fair deal. Unfortunately I did not see this topic earlier. I had 2 spyders delivered, one from Texas (my 2014 RT) and another from I-Motorsports (my F3T). Unfortunately for them, I was so excited that I didn't even think of tipping:opps:. The guy from Texas was an individual, so I can only assume he had everything in the price (about $850), but the guy that delivered from I-Motorsports definately deserved a tip.

Not sure about this tipping thing. Personally I think it is getting a little out of hand here in the good old USA. If someone goes above and beyond a normal personal service I say yea. If not I do not feel obligated to tip everyone and everybody. Not sure why you are asking this question here. It should be a personal thing between you and your driver if you feel that way not a public decision.

I'm into this shipment to the tune of $800. Which includes an enclosed trailer and insurance.
