• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 RT Limited What do I need to upgrade?

Also a new 2014 RT Owner

I am also a new owner, and have a grand total of 1000 miles on my 2014 RT. I had a couple problems that needed addressing and had the laser alignment and sway bar installed while in the shop. The very first corner I turned on, and it wasn't a very fast turn, I noticed the improvement the sway bar made. Because I am a Spyder newbe, I didn't realize just how far off the alignment was. Neather are a must, but if your experience mimics mine you will be very happy you had them done. I will also be getting the skid plate. The front end is awful close to the ground.

I'll take a moment to thank everyone that has provided advice on this site, it has been very helpful to me.

I just purchased a 2014 RT Limited. I have already figured out that I need a skid plate. From there it looks like a sway bar. Also some plastic protective pieces. Any information is very much welcome. This includes exhaust/muffers and air cleaners. Thank you for your assistance.

Just ordered a bumpskid, kott grilles, missing belt guard and a mud flap. Now I am anxiously waiting their arrival so I can get busy. Thank you to everyone for your input. I am sure a swaybar and links will follow after I get some riding in. I am afraid if I change it out too soon that I will not fully appreciate the difference in the ride. Also, I am looking at some more lights. Thanks again.

Safety wire your two inspection covers, one on each side where the heat vents are found by your feet. One of mine is lying somewhere on I-75 near Ft. Myers FL from my first time on the interstate. Hope to pick up the replacement tomorrow. Two dealers commented to me it happens often enough that they don't know why BRP doesn't address the issue.

Just be aware that if you are putting a rack on the back the high rear brakelight becomes useless.

I have a rack and use the TricLed 3rd & 4th Brakelight

I am blessed in many things

Apparently my Spyders are in there as well. I had a 2012 RT Ltd and now have a 2014 RT Ltd. Nothing was needed, nothing was done to the 2012. I would very much like to have adjustable shocks on the front of my 2014. Baja Ron is developing this now. After I have the adjustable shocks, I will determine the need for his sway bar. I keep reading about the alignment issues, but I have had no need to this point. Sounds like the OP is determined to buy something, but the advice to wait is good advice.
