There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2014 RT Limited rear mud flap work?

RDM

I previously owned a 2011 RTS and now own a 2014 RT Limited. I have noticed that the 2014 gets very dirty in the rear pretty quick as well as at the bottom of the front fenders. The 2011 didn't seem to get this dirty. It seems the aerodynamics have changed some causing an updraft in the rear??????? Has anyone installed the rear mud flap on a 2014 RT and does it help keep the rear clean????

Curious..!!

what kind of dirt..?? Is it black sooty type or just regular dusty dirt..?? Any extension will help especially if running into foul weather..check with "Don't eat the mud" one of our sponsors...
Oh! As to my questions. Black and sooty may be from the rear tire which are wearing really fast on the 14's. If regular dirt and grime, then the flap could help...

Mud Flaps Help

RDM: I noticed the same about the '14 showing more dirt but thought it was simply because I went from a Red to White. I put a mudflap on and it does help; doesn't eliminate the dirt up top by any means but its definitely less.

Maybe we need flaps for front fenders too?

The flap "Don't eat the mud" does a wonderful job to keep the spyder clean in time of foul weather.

:agree: It helps but doesn't stop all the dirt. With the mud flap on the hitch and the added one from don't eat the mud I have flap coverage within 2" of the ground. I was on a group ride yesterday in very rainey conditions. At one stop I was parked next to a RT with out the extra mud flap and his was a lot dirtier than mine.

Thanks for the help. Dirt is not black stuff from tire just road grime. Looks like I will be making another investment in a flap. At least will cut down some of the dirt.
