• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2014 RT LTD I have lost the parking brake cable tensioner and the retaining bolt. does anyone have an old caliper to sell as the parts are not sold by BRP.

I think if you go to Cheap Cycle parts 2014 parts hydraulic brake, view 111c you may see that he may not be quite correct. 291800241. Anyway it's free to look.

my dealer says that can am does not sell the part I need. The new caliper is $414. from Can Am

Oh, I understand what he told you, I'm just a trust but verify kinda guy. It's a curse.

As stated above, the parts diagram for your rear caliper, has 4 sub assembly part numbers listed under it. 111a, b, c, d. For the most part, they don't specify which individual parts are included in those kits, but I'm kinda skeptical that BRP would have part numbers to sell a 2 dollar washer or hose clip, but the part you need isn't included in one of those other kits. Especially since it is easily removable from the caliper...as you well know. I would research 111c, 219800241 further. (I'm sure Paul also meant 219 even though he wrote 291.)

Granted, it won't be the first time, in any industry, that a customer had to buy a 400 dollar part just to get the 20 dollar piece they really need. But on the other hand, it won't be the first time a Spyder dealer put out bum dope to a customer either. This site is full of examples. Good luck with it.

P.S. Maybe check with Cheap Cycle Parts on their return policy. See if you can buy that kit, and return it if it doesn't contain the pieces you need. Pit Bull might be able to help you out, too.
