• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 Panels ( RTL's

R&L Limted

Have noticed the ST's have been getting new cooler panels, was wondering when the RTL's will be . And does this have anything to do with the survey last week from BRP Care ?:dontknow:

The panels for the 2013 STs seem to be doing a pretty good job!
There's no doubt that a fix for the RTs is in the works; it's final design stil hasn't been seen anywhere... :dontknow:
My guess; is that the fix will be a bit more multi-faceted.
Wrapping the pipes
Insulating the fuel tank, and other underbody components
Adding ductwork to increase underbody airflow

You might even see more airflow directed to the catalytic converter...

NONE of these efforts is beyond an inventive "D.I.Y.er"

Lots of folks in here have already made these changes, and have reported good success with them.

I think you will be right, we were just hoping for a resolved final fix not just bandaids. It seems all the above have helped improve but not cure. We only have minimal heat ,& no drippin fuel etc.But livin in Tn. would like to resolve it.:doorag:

Since the 2014's seem to have the heat issue fixed. Id be perfectly happy id they took my 2013 RTS, since it shares same frame as 2014 RTS and pull the 998 and frunk off and install a 1330 with 6 speed and new frunk with radiators built in :D

That's what was supposed to happen with the 2013 but the engine wasn't ready, :dontknow: That would satisfy me.

I would sure hope part of BRP's response to the investigation and problems is the replacement of some body panels to provide flow through ventilation like they did on the ST. This would add well to the work many here have already done. I don't see them replacing the exhaust or wrapping it. A replacement double wall fuel tank is a possibility but doubtful. You can be certain they will NOT come up with a 'solution' that costs more than a few body panels per bike, IE a couple hundred bucks. Nothing that is truly expensive or labor intensive to install.

Hi Dave,
Haven't you got all of the kinks worked out of yours? :dontknow:
Not 100% Bob still get gas on hot days not as much but still get it.:banghead: It has been doing more sitting than riding this summer average temp has been mid 90's here. Unless it is a long non stop it stays home. Stop and go really heats up the tank. Last time I filled up it boiled the whole time I filled it. I could see it happening after I pulled the nozzle.
