• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 STS rear tire

Hello
need some help ....STS has 5000 miles and I just realized that I have a slow leak in the tire.
when I called the dealer he told me that they do not repair tires so I will have to buy a new one?
is this the safe route to take ?
I cannot see anything in the tire but haven't looked that close. I have not been to the dealer since my 900 mile check and it runs great.
If it needs anything I wouldn't attempt it anyway-chick thing:sour:;)!!!
just want to make sure this is the correct option
thanks

You're kind of stuck if your dealer won't repair it. If you wanted you could have him remove the wheel and you could take it to a tire shop to see if they can find the leak and repair it. Or you can just buy a new tire.

Thanks for the reply!
i was just wondering if this is the norm for dealers to just replace and not fix the rear tire?
would your dealer fix the tire?
thanks

Sadly

It is becoming the norm with all tire places. They do not want to run the risk of a suit so they just replace the tire. I plug my own and if you can find a Jose's used tire shop they can help out. But you will have to find the leak. Could be a loose valve core or a small hole. If it is too close to the sidewall then pretty much no one will fix it. :banghead:
