• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am finially ready to buy my first Spyder RT limited . I am not sure if I should wait for the 2013 model , if I knew now that no changes were made I'd pull the trigger now. Suspense sucks... Does anyone know when they will make info public?

If Lamont can edit his post and bring the date back to 9/23, I will change mine too. :roflblack:
Patience?--I don't got no stinking patience. :roflblack:

New models always have changes

There is a constant state of change some of which is not advertised; never is. BRP knows what systems are less than perfect and they keep tweaking them to make them better.

Ahhh.... We thought that you might have been trying to sneak some late-breaking news to us about a delay in the release date...

I would wait unless you get an awesome deal now

Just my 2 cents but I would wait the 3 1/2 weeks to find out. If you buy a '12 it'll be a model year old in a couple of weeks, which hurts it resale value later. Unless a dealer is blowing it out to make room for the '13 I'd wait, again just my 2 cents...

:agree: I bought my 2010 in January 2011, and got a great deal this way. Waiting has it's advantage sometimes.

:agree: You wll get your best deal in Late Oct - Nov if you can wait you will probably save $1,000-$2,000 form the current prices?
Right Now I can get a Basic 2012 RT SM5 for $18,900 and was told He would sell it for 18. If I want to Take a 70 Mile ride the RT SM5 could be had for $17,000 Brand New! Local RT-S Brand new $23,600 and the prices will fall more by FALL:roflblack:!

Regardsless of the New models go to cycletrader.com and Put in your search and zip code and "Have At It!":ohyea:

With the way the machines are apparently selling, I would venture to say that BRP won't make much change in the basic design and features until the present model runs its course. I think they can keep growing their market with cosmetic stuff like colors, options, etc.

It would seem to me that there isn't a huge market above thirty grand, so that would seem to limit 1,500 or 1,800 cc's and a huskier tourer. There is a market there, just not a big enough one IMO.

There may be a market down in the ten to twelve grand area for them. Maybe in the 700-750 cc range with fewer bells and whistles. If I was their marketing guru that is probably where I would be looking.
