akspyderman is spot on...pressing the turn signal buttion for a second or two will cancel the turn signal without turning on the other (direction) signal...try it, you'll like it!!
Would have to have some awesome improvements for me to upgrade. More horse power, bigger fuel tank and a better way to cancel turn signal . All that being said I can live with the HP and smallest gas tank but the turn signal needs some work .
More HP than what?
The RS is 106 stock. RT is 100 stock.
I wouldn't expect an ST version to be more powerful than the RS.
I guess i was thinking of other sport touring bikes. But likeley would be based on the RSS with removable luggage. I can always dream of more power. I have not had mine RT long but would jump on a more powerfull Spyder. 150+/- hp might be in the range... I still think of my FJR often. Dont get me wrong love my rt but everything i have can always use more power. Thats why i swapped a V10 into my f150 a few years back.
Having fun is never a waste of time lol! But I keep seeing pictures of the hybrid so where is it? It's in their brochures and in articles... Just saying it would be interesting.:chat:It is fun to speculate, but really, it's a waste of time. The 13's are probably pretty much set in stone by now and it only remains to wait and see.
My question would be, how many will jump ship to the new model if it is a quantum improvement?
I didnt even think it was a second or two. Just pressing the the turn signal button in and releasing it has always turned the signal off for me. Isnt that what you're supposed to do? :hun:
Maybe the new model is the hybrid that was talked about a couple of years ago. The turququoise and white on. What do you guys think?hyea:
My dream engine would be a Honda 1800....... oh yeah!
My dealer who had locations in Que. told me last week that there will be a sport touring model but couldnt say more than that. Makes sense but it would need to have a serious HP bump to be a true sport touring. I assume it would have removable rear luggage like some sport touring bikes. So probably based on the RS?

September 23rd...
Until then... :bbq::bbq::bbq:
The right saddlebag will hold a full-face helmet.We just bought our 2011 RT(new, Logan Utah--good people up there), and it was interesting to note how few used RT's there were out there offered up for sale. Says something about how much people like what they've got. This machine is primarily for my wife to ride to work in better weather, I'll likely have it when it's not so nice out. I've put some serious miles on my two wheels commuting, and there are a few things I'd change with the Spyder. The turn signal really would be better with some kind of tactile feel when cancelling it. And recess it forward a bit, so it's easier to get to without lifting your thumb so far. The machine would probably benefit from better cooling--my ST1300 is clothed pretty tight and it suffers in the heat too. I worry about all the mass in the windshield and it's hardware, I saw the picture of the broken support caused by a rough road. Ours rattles some just going up the street. And gas mileage? I'm getting right at 54 mpg and can easily go 300 miles on a tank with the 1300 (seven gallon total capacity). First check of our mileage on the RT (mostly two-up, though) showed 30. Odd to me also that the only storage on the Spyder big enough for a helmet is the frunk. I've had $178 worth of groceries from Sams on the ST, wouldn't attempt the same load with the Spyder. And the horn? I'm gonna ask the dealer if it will scare my warranty if I change that out! Might already be in trouble; I put a nice LED light bar across the trunk from Kewlmetal so she would be more visible. Maybe the dealer won't notice....
