• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 RT Spyder with P1036 code - any info/help?

I hope I can find some info. I have a 2013 Spyder RT Limited. While on a trip recently the check engine light came on. Checked the code and it is a p1036. I was thinking it is a code for the oxygen sensor. I have recently changed the vacuum hoses, oxy sensor(both), plugs and wires, and cleaned out the catalytic converter, and new exhaust seals, and purge bypass. Ran great. Drove about 400 miles and it came on. It still ran fine. Drove it home about another 200 miles. Please help.
 
P1036 - Module: ECM

Oxygen sensor heater 2 upstream cat.
Signal error.

Damaged 02 sensor damaged circuit wires.
Damaged connector or damaged ECM pins.

Check fuse.
Disconnect HO2S 2.
Measure voltage between harness connector HO2S 2-1 & Ground
(expected value = 11 to 13 V dc).

Circuit wires may have become heated, pinched, or broken. All pertinent wires & connectors should be carefully inspected for damage.

You need a DVM or some other device to measure DCV, and Peter explained what the voltage should be. Good luck.
 
Hey Chief. So, you replaced both O2 sensors and 400 miles later you now have a code for the heater circuit failure for the rear sensor. On your machine, that fuse feeds a number of other things and the machine wouldn't even run, so that's probably not it. Refer to your operator's manual. You'll just need to go back and re-visit everything you touched when you replaced that sensor,...harness, plug, etc. Or maybe it's just a bad sensor.

Curiosity killed the cat - just wondering why you replaced both sensors in the first place and if you used genuine BRP OEM parts?
