• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Dealer will not put me on the schedule until BRP gives them information about the recall. The Service manager said he has not gotten anything as of Friday.

Mine too, I forwarded the service manager the release from BRP Care and they have already ordered my parts and will let me know before end of week when I can take the long 3 hour ride to get her fixed up.

My dealer ordered five kits as soon as they received the Warranty Bulletin. They will order more as these are claimed, so apparently they plan to keep ahead of the wait for parts. This is the way this thing SHOULD work.

I told them, go ahead and give the first five to other folks. Since they have already helped me curtail a lot of the heat, I can wait a few weeks. (What I DIDN'T tell them was that I would just as soon get mine installed AFTER they have some experience doing this on OTHER 2013 RT's ;) )

recall

My dealer said he is waiting on the parts and tools, he said he could get to it this next week,

As I see it..!!

brp is on the ball letting customers know because time was running out but...the bigger problem is suppling the parts and tools needed to complete the job. Some dealers don't seem to keep up to date cause you know they have direct info coming from brp if they open their mail...:banghead:

Parts

The parts seem to be plentiful. My dealer ordered 20 kits and he said he could have ordered as many as he liked. Maybe some dealers out there haven't heard about this new thing called "email". :roflblack:

Dealer Called Me

My Dealer Called Me about the 2013 Model I owned until last year. I sold it and bought a 2014 RTL. I need to contact the buyer of my bike to let him know. Hopefully he called BRP and had the information switched over after the sale with the 4 years of warranty coverage left. Louis Powersports in Greenville, Texas is spot on when it comes to taking care of their customers. Kudos to all the good dealers out there.

I notified my dealer a while ago about the recall. He told me he will order the parts as soon as he was notified. I called him the same day I saw the fix posted on Spyder Lovers and he said he already ordered the parts and as soon as they come in he will call me to set up an appointment to get the work done

You need to call them and tell them to READ the bulletin!!! If they wait, YOU will be waiting a LONG time! They have to order the kits and tools!

Just got an email from, Greg Hale, Service Manager at Seminole Power Sports, Sanford, Flarda, saying the parts were in. I'll probably take my spyder down tomorrow, Saturday, provided Jason, the service tech is working tomorrow. Elstwise, it will be Monday.

My dealer in Central Ohio said the parts are not available, that they are only available now in the warmer regions. Also I shouldn't believe everything posted on these forums. I'm really getting p***ed!!!

And when Steve from BRP posted the news of the recall, he specifically stated that they were going to be doing the warmer regions first, then working their way to the others.

I know what Steve posted, it's just odd that others are are posting in different threads on this forum that their dealers , New York and PA) are ordering the parts/tools for the fix. I'm only a few hours away.
