• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 analog gauges

The analogue gauges on my 2013 RT Ltd is pretty consistent, not that accurate but consistent nonetheless, it is well into the red zone before the low fuel light came on and it doesn't jump up and down like what others have reported, BRP must have tweaked the circuit somewhat.... anyway, I have installed a switch to change from analogue to digital and back whenever you feel like it, to be decided during start up.... the back lighting of the analogue gauges remain on all the time so that the dash doesn't look so bare at night when using the digital ones.... just sharing...

Best Mod for me was to disconnect my analog gauges.... In place I purchased a dual air temp gauge, One monitors ambient air temp and the other monitors air temp under the tupperware.... for me very very helpful, the other gauge is a volt meter all digital blue LED and look very cool.... I can submit a pic easy to do and i love having engine temp and fuel gauge on the main display, Not really an analog kinda guy:clap:

That's a great idea. I'd like to have an accessory power port or USB port in lieu of one of the guages...thinking maybe the fuel guage. I just needed a little direction on how to go about doing it and making it look decent.

I replaced my two factory gauges with full sweep volt meter and oil pressure gauges. The digital dash fuel level is much more accurate and switching to it has given me an effective additional 25+ mile range. The temp gauge is more in line with what I would expect as well. Reading mid gauge to slightly above when the fan comes on. That is the temp my spyder normally sits at when riding in traffic. On the factory analog gauge that was well past 2/3 of the gauge which is not a normal temp gauge reading.

The autometer cobalt series gauges look great in the dash, fitting right in with the factory instruments look.

Analog gauges are usually controlled by a stepper motor which are notorious for failing. The quality of them also varies. If I were to replace them I would try and find a digital gauge they are much more accurate and repeatable. JMHO:thumbup:

I want to thank everyone for their input on this topic. It has given me a lot to consider. I really think I'm going to go with a power plug or usb port of some kind in place of the fuel gauge and just put a plug in place fo the temp gauge so I can use the digital ones on screen, if the boss lady doesn't object to much. I think the in screen digital gauges will be much easier to see my only question is , how much screen real estate do you lose?

Where did you get the temp guage?
