• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2012 Spyder rt?

On my RT on the lower right side, as you sit on the bike, there are TWO OPENINGS. The upper one in photos looks like it is part of what I would call the middle rear section of the right fender. There are Two Holes, the Top One being kinda rectangular in Shape and the Lower one almost Square in Shape. I gather the Lower hole is the infamous escape opening for the hot gases leaving the engine compartment that will melt a sneaker pretty near. But why do I have two openings instead of just the exhaust hatch? I bought my Spyder used/private sale and until I got into the air scoops addition I never realized that my Spyder was missing something. Is it piece of body work? That is a part of the right side fender? Anybody? Thanks

Hot air holes

I take it you're talking about these two openings? See attached.

If so, then you're not missing anything. That's the way it comes. Hot air from the radiator exits through both openings. There was no grill supplied in that year to match the hole in the left side panel on the other side.

Next, what do you want to do? As mentioned, you can block off one or the other with the SpyderPops plate depending on how you'll place your legs as you ride. Most block off the upper. You can order the grill piece from the 2014 model year and modify it to fit the upper hole so it looks finished. And you can do a combination of both. See Idaho Mountain Spyder posts for that.

If these aren't the two holes you're referring to, then better take a pic and post it.
