This is starting to bother me some as I just purchased a 2012 RTS SE5 about 2 months ago and this bike will stall for no reason. Today me and wife went for a ride and we stopped for gas after about an hour drive and were pulling up to the gas pumps and the bike just stalls. I'm still in first gear when the bike stalls, of course. I turn the key off and filled up the gas tank. Now is when the problem comes up. When I turn the key back on, i'm still in first gear and the damn bike won't start cause I'm not in neutral. I step on the brake in hopes that the bike will go into neutral but no luck. Turn the key back off and on several times and still won't start. By this time I'm really getting pissed. I don't really know what I did to correct the situation but finally after 10 minutes got the bike in neutral and it started. At this point I said the hell with riding this thing and just headed home which completely ruined and nice afternoon of riding. Will somebody please tell me what the proper procedure, step by step, if your bike stalls and its still in first gear, on how to get it in neutral. I'm beginning to think that I made a terrible mistake in buying the bike as it has too many querks that a person has to learn about the bike to get it to operate satisfactory. This bike only has about 600 miles on it so far.
