• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 RTS SE5 issues

I went to drop my RTs off for service on Saturday morning. On the way there, my display went to solid white. The radio was still playing, but I could not adjust the volume. Stopped for fuel and it took about 2 minutes to turn off. Once I restarted after fueling everything looked normal. I assumed a glitch.

Went to pick it up after the service and the display was white and no radio. The dealer did inform me that the looked at it on the computer and did not see any issues and would check with BRP this week. Said it was okay to ride. After about 30 miles of driving the display returned to normal for the rest of the ride. Before the display stayed on it would cycle between solid white and solid black. At one point it did a bunch of color bars just before it restored.

Went for a ride Sunday and no display again. Didpslay did come back like on Saturday, the only exception is it disappeared while still riding. Once the display disappeared, the radio continued to play without any controls of volume or station.

Went for a ride today and no display. The display did eventually return. Today, it cycled alot before and after restoring. Today the display went to a green screen and displayed the words along the lines of "Test and Diagnostics" with a version number. It then proceeded to cycle through a orange, green, blue, black, and white.

I did check the battery connections and reset the fuses. Has anyone else encountered this? The only recent changes are a new battery and the bluetooth unit.

Sorry for the long post.

 And BUDS didn't show anything to the dealer?? I'm just guessing here; perhaps you've got a loose wire of some sort running to the display... :dontknow:

Agree. You also mentioned a new battery. I would check the battery connections and make sure they are tight. Does sound like a bad ground somewhere. First place to start for ground check is under the seat. A fault like this usually will not show up on BUDS.

Have to agree

Sounds like it could be a loose ground connection from the battery or a loose wire somewhere

Possibly a loose relay in the Frunk. Had similar where my GPS would go blank and then come back on, seemingly at will. From all the bumps & vibrations, we ended up having a couple of loose Relays in the Frunk. Put a padding in there to take up any extra space & to make sure they are always completely seated ;)

Your cluster itself could be going bad, in which case, it would need to be replaced. Our 2010 had a bad cluster, but we ended up trading it before getting it replaced, but I've read on here about others with similar issues needing theirs replaced.

Hope the answer comes sooner than later, cause I know how frustrating it can be:banghead: and it starts to wear on ones faith in that particular machine :sour::pray: Keep us updated and good luck

Turned out to be a bad cluster. Dealer swapped it out, now the the suspension is not adjustable with the rocker switch. I get a Manual Adjust when I hit the switch to adjust the rear. I will call the dealer back on Tuesday when they open.

Thinking out loud.

BRP tech's are off on weekends. If you're dealing with a dealer, or dealer tech, who is relatively new to the game. Weekend service appointments may be something you want to avoid, if possible, and if you're hoping BRP will be immediately available for back up. :doorag:

Unfortunately, BRP is still shipping clusters with the ACS high and low limits programmed to the same number. This is not something the tech would normally check, unless he had seen the problem before. He will have to use the specified gauge blocks and reset the ACS limits. In the meanwhile, your airbag will have to be adjusted manually with the switch. It just won't adjust automatically if the passenger or cargo weight changes.

Thanks Scotty. I will call the shop on Tuesday when the open up. At least I know it will adjust when I press the button.
