• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 RT Upper Left Panel Screw Problem

I just got a 2011 RT and changed the oil and noticed the angled knob was broken and the grommet missing, would the dealer have this or would I have to order one? And where would I order it. I am a spyder noob, looking forward to some road trips:yes:

The screw is loose and the panel is slightly misaligned. The second and only other visible screw is securely fastened. If I can find the right torx screw driver, it should not be a problem for me to tighten...or not?

The same thing happened to me when I had the easy oil change panel installed by my incompetent dealer. Rather than let them get at my Spyder again I purchased the set of tamper proof Torx sockets at Lowes for $20. I carefully removed the panel and found a push pin missing on the plastic support. Replaced that and then lightly tightened the loose "dart" or "prong". Then very carefully made sure it made direct contact with the rubber grommet hole. Then I tightened it up. Don't over tighten! It all part of the Tupperware adventure!
