• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 RT SM5 gearshift lever has dropped

My shift lever seems to have dropped about 1.5", far enough so that I've had to remove my Inspector Gadget floorboards and replace the pegs so that I can operate the lever. Does anyone know how to remove the shift lever and can it be adjusted back to where I want it? I have a heel/toe arrangement to suit the floorboards but I don't think that this is an issue as it worked well for some months.

I will be going to a shed day (shop in USA) soon and I wouldn't mind having some knowledge before I go. Any help much appreciated.

Take the 10 mm bolt all the way out the shift shaft is splined just wiggle and pull the lever out

More pinch

As stated above remove the 10mm bolt pull the shifter off. Inspect the splines. Reposition the shifter retighten. If the gap at the pinch point is "0" you may have to file a bit to get a tighter grip.

Just in case some one has a similar problem, there is an adjustable link rod inboard from the shifter. The locking nuts had come loose, allowing the shifter to get right out of adjustment. Our local mechanical wiz fixed it at the Shed Day today. Fix was simple: re-adjust the link rod and tighten the lock nuts.
