2011 RT-S Limited

About 4 months ago, I along with 3 buddies each ordered the 2011 RT-S Limited's. I came from a Harley as did two other of my bud's. I came down with a terminal case of the "Can't Waits" and caved in when my dealer got their first Pure Mag unit in. Since then, one buddy bought a 2010 RS-S, and today one buddy bought a beautiful Viper Red RT-S. The dealership still has no clue when the Limited will be available. What's up with BRP not being able to update the delivery dates on ordered units?:hun: I have purchased roughly 50 new cars in my buying days, and have never had to wait more than 8-10 weeks for any. ( Including Corvette ZO6 etc). If BRP comes up with a "Killer Spyder" next year and can't give me a delivery date that is anywhere near accurate, I'm sorry, but I may be gone.:dontknow:
In this day of 10% unemployment, I don't understand why a customer should be put through this. I love what I bought, but let's get it together. Please BRP, give us our toys on time.

I was given a delivery date of May 3rd. Since, (I was told), production only starts in April. The Limited will be the last ones produced. (Hopefully they will have learned how to build them without any glitches of anykind. At least that's what I'm hoping for). I don't know DaBusses, but could it be possible there would be different production dates and thus different delivery dates between Canada and the States. After all most of you lose your snow and get a much earlier ryding season than we do up here in Northern Ontario!!! (Allthough it's been melting pretty fast these last few days. So much that truckers have been haulling snow from many shopping mall parking lots to build a snowcross track for this weekends International Snow Cross competitions) Somewhere on these forrums someone said they were given a delivery date about two weeks from now (middle of March). Anyways, I have written an e-mail to my dealler with a bunch of questions. I hope I get an answer soon and will post my findings. I've been waiting since October. Ask me if winter has been long. THE LONGEST IN HISTORY. And I don't have any patience. Imagine that! :gaah::helpsmilie:

The advertised (written) beginning delivery date was April, which could still be eight weeks away, no matter what BS a dealer may have told you. That has not been changed, nor has that date passed yet. I don't see how BRP has failed to update anything, just because they have not changed that in your favor, nor do I see how they have failed to meet their original commitment. There is no reason to bash anybody about anything. It is unfortunate that you are not happy with what you chose in your impatience, but let's not blame BRP for something that hasn't even come to pass.

:agree: With you Scotty . To many people are quick to bash BRP when things are not in thier favour ! I am waiting for a 2011 RTS Limited ordered in October and just got off the phone with my dealer, he told me the two owners just got back from a BRP dealer event and said to expect my RTS Limited before the end of March .:yes::yes: I had though that I would be lucky to have it for Spyderfest!!

I talked with my dealer in Keokuk, IA yesterday about my RT Limited that was ordered last October. He contacted BRP concerning the Limited edition and was told that they will be starting production soon and after quality testing would be shipping the third week of March. If all goes right I should have my :spyder2: before the end of March. :yes:

That's exactly what I was told today by my dealer! Production on the Limited will start next week. We can expect delivery by the third week of March in some places. He is expecting his first five the last week of March or first week in April. I've got the fourth one that comes in. That's one month earlier than I expected so, IMHO, Koodos to BRP and my dealer. You think I'm excited??? I think I'm going to booth up and go right now! :clap: :firstplace: :2excited:
PS. He tells me that he's still got a few more for sale. He's getting fifteen altogether.

Today my 2011 RT Limited went into production with a 30 day delivery to the dealer which is in Elk Grove Calif. The dealership put HOT DEAL on the order which BRP said it would be a 30 day build and deliver. I too am coming from a couple of harley's to the RT and I sure hope I'm making the right move. :2thumbs:
