2011 rt radio failed

Radio got water in it. i opened it and it even has some rust inside. I am being told this item has been discontinued. i am looking for help to find one. it is simply a basic am / fm with weather band. Should be some used ones out there as most would like to upgrade to CB's and such. I'm a simple guy, am/fm will do.

Unfortunately the radio is tied into your display.
Which complicates things considerably.
It appears that most of RadioSonics development work done during the model years 2010 to 2012 was done trying to be better at iPod stuff.
Check out Ebay for sellers that have 2010-2013 parts. If they are from bone yards they may have a radio.

There was an issue with this on your year Spyder!
Later they came out with a Service Bulletin about fixing water intrusion.
You might want to see if BRP will cover you.

AND NO.. the radio is NOT discontinued... Your dealer is not well informed.

I just looked up the radio module for a 2011RT and the part number is 710002271 but it does show as no longer available. Will one from a later model work?

Yes it will but the Ipod cable that has the black BOX will need to be replaced also with the one that does not.
