2011 RT Ltd - misfiring suspected? Any thoughts on this, and parts suppliers?

Hello All,
I have a 2011 Spyder RT Ltd. Due to personal circumstances, I could not use my trike for approx. a year. So, bad gas is, of course, expected right away, but I am looking for recommendations on recent problems. I took the bike for an hour's ride, and it appears to misfire from idle up to about 4k Rpm, at which point the 2nd cylinder appears to kick in and accelerate smoothly and strongly. Once I get to a stop and then restart, again it's only one cylinder, with practically no throttle response until higher Rpm.

I am going to run some Berrymans thru the tank if I can, I have filled tank with premium octane and used approx 3/4 tank.

I am going to replace the plugs and wires, possibly the ignition coil also, never been replaced. My questions are as follows:
Besides plugged injectors, bad wires, plugs, coil; from the Forum, I see vacuum hoses also can play a part... Is there anything else I should be looking at?
My local dealer will not work on Spyders older than 2015 models, so I am on my own for now. I hope to troubleshoot, and parts replace to at least get a baseline of improvement before I get towed 50 miles or more to get to a dealer.

Any thoughts on best place to order parts online, new plug wires, new coil, injectors?

Chances are it is your ignition wires and leaking vacuum hoses on the throttle body. I've never seen a set of coils go bad. Not that it can't happen. Same for the injectors. The are probably fine. But I'd do the wires/plugs & vac hoses first. The coils are easy access and can be done at another time. But unlikely that you'll need them. The Berrymans is a good idea. Put 1/2 can in a full tank of straight gasoline if you can find it. Then repeat for a 2nd treatment. I'd highly recommend changing the fuel filter as it's impossible to know if that is part of the problem and they are cheap and easy to replace.

I highly recommend the NGK DCPR8EIX Iridium Spark Plugs. I don't remember when BRP moved from the original copper core plugs. But you'll get much better service from the EIX version.

When you get into the airbox. Look for oil residue on the throttle body and puddling in the bottom of the box. Spray Berrymans liberally into the throttle body to clean it up if needed. There is a cheap and easy mod for fixing the typical oil in the airbox issue.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Thank you BajaRon,
Could you recommend a good place to buy ignition wires, I have heard that the stock wires are not the best choice. I searched but have not found a good supplier of replacement wires, and not sure what is really best choice in wires or parts.

You're asking the one who can supply you the wires!!!

Right at end of his sig line; email and phone.

You are correct. The original wires are of very poor quality. Even new, they deliver a reduced spark to the plugs. I'm not supposed to advertise so I'm trying to be careful with that. But I've gone to some effort to make the best wire set I know of for the Spyder. I also include dielectric grease and thermal paste and spark plugs as well if you order the kit that way.
