2011 p1174 problem

My shop has mine and two other 2011 RT that have the check engine code of 1174 which is a system lean fuel bank 2. BRP has so far been unable to provide a solution to cure this problem. Has anybody had this problem and what was the fix?

we have had several with similar problems and they stem from cracked vaccum hoses. I would think they would have checked this but you never know. Check close, eyeball looks good twist it around and the crack or loose fit will be present...:dontknow:

Very simple and cheap to replace. Even the ones that look good can have a small crack that allows air in. If the dealer does not have the BRP replacement parts a quick trip to the auto parts store will get you the right amount of hose for under $3. Remove the old ones and cut the hose to length and install by pushing it on the barbs. Replace both at the same time as it takes longer to remove the tupperware than to remove and install the hose.

This might be a good time to upgrade to silicon (SP?) lines... :thumbup:

Don't mean to be a smarta$$, but wouldn't the tech check ALL the vacuum hoses until he found then replaced the cracked ones? Seems as if he could do the rest of the legwork since the cause of the problem has just been handed to him. Maybe i'm being too hard on the guy...

I would change them all, if one has gone it won't be long before the others need replacing.

The two that go to the MAPS sensor. Approx. 3.5 inches long.

Having read all the threads about vacuum hose problems attached to the map sensor I have replaced those "TWO" short hoses with silicone hose. Are there anymore and if so where on a 2010 RTS SE5 ?????
