• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 Limited - Heat Problems

I am trying to decide which of the heat airflow products to get from spyderpops for my 2011 RTS. I only want to take it apart once. But I getting tired of scorched ankles.

Get both the block-off plate and the cat shields. As far as taking it apart, only one panel needs to come off. The cat shields do require that a couple of bolts on each side be loosened but that's it. Took me maybe 30 minutes total to install both products. The wife and I went on a 200 mile ryde yesterday with temps in the high nineties with no problems.

Thanks Guys,

Getting ready to add Seal floorboards also, so, do I need the Air Management System?

BTW - Looking at riding boots now. :opps:

Hi,

I have the Spyderpops $22. right side heat shield on my RT. It works great. I ride with my feet right next to the opening and never have a problem with heat.

Ride in comfort,

For everyone experiencing heat in the seat area there is only one thing to do, wrap the header pipes. This is almost a must on the RS/GS and will also help on the RT.

You can find the wrap and all the shields at www.SPYDERPOPS.com.

The wrap is a real bargain compared to local parts houses as I'm a distributor for Cool Tech.
