• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My 2010 Spyder RT sm5 is not wanting to shift into neutral or out of reverse. Does anyone have any problems with this? I have about 19000 miles on my bike.

Flush and bleed the clutch fluid. It might help. If not the slave cylinder probably needs to be repaired or replaced. If the O-rings go bad or the slave cylinder or slave piston becomes scored, the clutch disengagement becomes incomplete, and the first place you notice is neutral, then first and getting out of reverse.

Engine oil levels do not affect SM5 shifting. :lecturef_smilie:

Scotty's right on both points (surprise, surprise!). I've been there, done that on the clutch slave cylinder -- total rebuild was needed. Get it checked out so you don't get stranded with no ability to disengage the clutch at all. Been there, done that, too.

I had that problem

I had that problem one day on my way to work, after having it towed to the dealer, They found out that a nut came off the shift linkage.
