• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 RTS Display keeps resetting - Any ideas why?

Hi,

I just got a 2010 RTS and some of the time the display/computer will just keep resetting. It was flash "Can-Am", flash white and repeat for mins . Other times it will do it once and go in .
Here is a 7min video of it happening: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DSPDG8ysL5vd9_PCKKyjxZ-S2i2yiHiw/view?usp=drivesdk

Update: after some testing, this only starts happening after the engine has been running and you shut off and turn on the ignition again... :gaah:

Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you
Rich

Vid's not working for me - it looks like it's just a pic of the 'play' arrow?!? :dontknow:

Watched it for 7mins tho, with repeated pressing of said arrow, nothing....

Still, it sounds very much like it's a battery issue; or maybe a poor earth somewhere?!? :dontknow:

Welcome to the Forum tho!

Had this same issue our 2011 RTS back 3 years ago. The center screen would show horizontal lines and reset, Along with the speedo and tack gauges. Its an internal issue, You have to replace the entire center cluster. fairly easy fix. But get ready to shell out about $1000. Oh and the mileage goes through that as well so if you can ever get your old one to work remember the mileage because that is where it is stored. When you replace it you will have a "zero" mileage cluster. For us, ours went out just before 10k miles.
