• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 RT, what is the going consensus for new front tires

I just ordered (2) Kumho Solus tires from Tire Rack. They did not have a 165/55/15 ... so I ordered 175/55/15. I'm sure the extra 10mm width will still clear the front fenders.(?!?)
Anxious to get a better grip and steady ride. I'll start out with 18-20 psi in each and see how they ride. I'll follow up next week when they are mounted and back on the trike.

Did for me!! Altho I did hafta lift up the outside edge of the fender lip to slide the tire in, and because I had a bunch of hex head fixing screws for the fender with their heads sticking up & protruding about 10mm INTO the wheel well space that Juuust touched as the tire deformed during cornering, I took the wheel back off & replaced the hex head screws with Phillips head pan head screws that didn't project in at all. :2thumbs:

And I've been successfully running my 175's at 14-16 psi for many tens of thousands of miles now too, so you've got plenty of scope to go a little lower than 18-20 psi if you want to improve your ride & traction a little more, especially wet road traction! Besides, that 18-20 psi is pretty much the same pressure required to carry the Spyder load as the lightly made, softer sidewalled, lower load rated OE Spec Kendas, and you are now fitting a stronger made, stiffer sidewalled, higher load rated tire that usually only needs that sort of pressure to carry something a little heavier than your Spyder, but it's your choice on that!

Enjoy!

I replaced my 2010 RT Front tires with FEDERAL SS657 same size as originals... Well satisfied with them....

Peter; thanks loads for that information. Being an old hot rodder I'm used to "making things fit" too. I'll let you know how it comes out in a few days. Thanks again!! Ain't my little grand daughter a cute little bugger!? An boy was she "Fierce" at that age. Emilia is 6 now and still pretty fierce!!:firstplace:
