• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 RT-S Throttle body

I wanted to give recognition to BRP. I took my RT-S to the shop for the common P1614 throttle body issue. My Spyder was not under warranty, but BRP took rresponsibility and paid to have this fixed for me. This was an $1800 job! I just wanted to take a second to give credit where credit is due, since so many people have bashed BRP...

Good to know..!!

they have been coming up to the plate here lately. They are trying to bridge the gap between them and us...good to know they helped you out...:2thumbs:

That is great they took care of you, i had my 2010 RTS TB replaced under warranty at 18K & 32K miles, by BRP  am at 54K miles and still runnin strong, only the baffle in the muffler broke, I can live with that till I find a used stock muffler.

Ryblueyez how many miles did you have on your 2010?

I am only at 7,800 miles... It will go up some this weekend, as I am driving to the Myrtle Beach Spyder Rally. This will be my first event. I just got my Spyder back in October...

Call from BRP customer service

I agree BRP is stepping up. I received a call last week from BRP to ask about my owners experience, concerns and suggested improvements for Spyders. I can't recall the gentleman's name but I do have it on my work computer in an email he sent as a followup. He gave me all the time needed to discuss the Spyder and seemed to be very interested in my responses. We discussed Limp mode issues and the consequences of what happens if and when it kicks in (my major concern as mine is a 2010 RT S) along with other issues and ideas. This was at least a 15 to 20 minute call.

2010 was the first year of the "Fly By Wire" setup... ;)
It wasn't perfect; but it did point the way to the future!
I'm also glad to hear that they've been working with you on this one!

I hope they will continue to do that. Mine is a 2011 with almost 7K on it and no problem so far but my extended warranty runs out this Jan. I have a feeling if it's going to fail it will be after that....

They did the same for me, 2nd owner of a 2010 rt. 18000 miles and they picked up the tab for a throttle body.

TB, I gave one to RickyLen when I got rid of my Spyder. Pop him an email or call. I bet they will ship you one for just shipping cost. They usually have a BUNCH after Spyderfest.
