• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 RT Oil Change?

I've done my own oil changes and most maintenance on my 2010 RT annually since it was new. This year I haven't used the RT as much as in past years and only have about 700 miles on it since the last oil change/service performed November 2014. I use BRP synthetic blend oil and filters. I know the manual says 5,000 or so miles or annual but I'm thinking I may stretch it out until April of next year or 18 months. I plan to do some riding while in south Florida this winter but doubt it will be more than 500 miles.

What do you folks think?

As I see it..!!

If you are ryding it from time to time you should be fine going by the mileage rather than the time. Synthetics hold up well in these situations. With that low a mileage I will imagine they are not hard ryden miles. But still you could change your oil at the year if you prefer...choices choices...:banghead:

Check again I think it's 4500 miles for oil changes

SYNTHETIC OIL

Don't worry about doing the oil change. Synthetic oils don't break down quickly over time.

:agree:....If it was a FULL SYNTHETIC OIL ......However He said BRP syn BLEND.....and from what I've heard here , that could mean about 15 % synthetic 85 % DINO.........just sayin.....Mike
