2009 spyder gs sm5

whats up y'all I've owned my spyder for over 10 years and its been sitting in my garage for a couple years. i start it up every now and then but with all this coronavirus crisis going on i figured id do some maintenace to it and maybe start using it more often. now my question is, where should i start? ray: :dontknow: :helpsmilie:

Large journey start with small step. Go to garage and pick a tool.

Good luck with your maintenance. Oil & filter for sure.

over all inspection, make sure brakes and fluid are good, Fresh gas & oil, filter, air filter. Ride it.

definitely, i picked up a oil change kit from the dealer this afternoon but they tried to sell me a bunch of other stuff i wasn't sure if i needed

I would just do the oil and filter, fresh gas, check belt, hoses, and tires. After that I would just ride it locally a few times to see how it is doing. No need to spend money on things that are not needed. But I would do local rides before hitting the road for a 400 mile day trip. Good luck.

Thanks for replies guys. That’s exactly what I will do. Another quick question should I replace the drain plug? I was looking thru other posts, I noticed other riders replace the drain plug after an oil change
