• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

$20 promo discount on TricLED Centramatic Wheel Balancers

Just in case someone is interested in these, figured I'd share the promo discount.

I was wondering if anyone has used these in the past. I just ordered a set for my F3 because about every 3rd or 4th new set of front tires, I can tell my tires aren't as balanced as they could be. I'm tired of it, and figure this will be worth it in the long run.

I'll let you know what I think once they're installed and I get a few miles on.

got them today

DH came home to install them so that I would have them when I go for my ride after work. I'll give more feedback later.

2 thumbs up!

I'd give them 3 thumbs up, but I won't install the rear wheel balancer until I get a new back tire (let the dealership do it!).

Anyway, I rode approx 75-100 miles on different surfaces -- did some county dirt/gravel roads just to see what happened, and then went up in the mountains. For those who know the area, I went through Lyons up highway 36 to Estes Park -- since 34 is closed this is mostly a parking lot/bumper to bumper traffic (thankfully with 2 sections of an extra uphill passing lane) and that's where I used to notice the badly balanced wheels/bouncing -- going between 35-45mph in a traffic train. From Estes, I rode 10 miles down highway 34 to Drake and then turned off and went up the canyon that takes you through Glen Haven and Devil's Gulch back to Estes Park, and then gate to gate through Rocky Mtn Ntl Park and Mary's Lake Road to highway 7, and over on highway 7 to Allenspark and back down to Lyons.

Road surfaces varied -- some are new smooth pavement, some dirt and rough some dirt and soft, some really bad pavement from the flood damage and some temporary repairs that will need new repairs soon. Speeds anywhere from 25mph to 75mph.

Where the roads were rough, the ride was still rough, but it was the road, not the spyder! Where the roads were smooth, the ride was smooth, and when I did the same route yesterday, I had noticeable patches of "bounce" in my front tires even on the smooth surfaces. Today, nothing. Definitely worth the $$$ for me.
