• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2 Spyders down for about a month.

Best case for us would be if BRP agreed to send out two of the new RT motors to stick in our Spyders (and throw in those longer A-arms for our troubles). :D

Good luck with that one......
I figured they were just going to ship Lamont's RT-S to you. After all, you are closer, and his Spyder GS runs. :joke: If you're gonna dream...dream big!

I suppose this is what we get for buying road vehicles from a toymaker. BRP seems to think these are just another snowmobile, ATV or Sea-doo. If the parts take forever to arrive, well, just put off playing for awhile, right. And dealerships should fill their inventories with ATVs they can't sell instead of Spyder spares. Good luck getting repair work with snowmobile season coming up. Meanwhile, people are depending on these machines to get them to work, or they are having vacations ruined, or they are being stranded far from home faceing ridiculous delays. I love the reverse trike concept but wouldn't it be great to be dealing with a REAL motorcycle company?

Interesting point about the 'toy' aspect. I've always considered my Spyder a toy - but many (like crazy Nick C ;)) do use it for their every day transport. Here in Michigan, you really have no choice but to have another vehicle for the winter months.

BRP may not have really thought of these for daily transport -- and I think I can safely say that was not their main demographic when they came up with these.

I doubt the typical HD owner uses his bike for his everyday transport either.

Good point about them having all the other products they sell --- and the same techs to handle it all. My dealer doesn't sell any other brand of bikes. They sell ATV's, snowmobiles, PWC and boats. The Spyder is the only on-road product they really sell.

Spyder

I agree, those spyders look so bad as if they were from a junkyard not, a 2 year bike. I hope mine wouldnt look like this in two or three years. I am already thinking I will try to get any salvage value I could from the spyder, in a couple of years and buy another bike its name starts with an H.

ONDA??
