• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 2 helmets, gps and bluetooth

I've been looking at the Scala Rider Teamset Pro 2 headsets for my wife and I. Correct me if I am wrong, but using this with say a Zumo 665, only one headset will hear the GPS at any given time? The Zumo cannot send voice navigation instructions to two helmets at once. I guess this would apply to the XM as well?

Also, and I am probably totally wrong here, but it looks like the priority is GPS & Phone > Intercom > MP3 player. So, with say a Zumo 665, the XM basically counts as "GPS" because it's coming from a GPS unit. Therefore, the intercom will never override the GPS or the XM. So, if I am listening to XM I won't be able to listen to my wife? She'll have to bop me on the head to turn off the XM?

Correct on the first account. You can't link 2 helmets to the same bluetooth device at the same time. Not sure any system on the market can do this. Other than music.. I see no reason for passenger to hear garmin......

I'd take a serious look at the Sena SMH10 units.....

Scala Rider, Cardo 2's can now be found on sale--but both they and the Cardo 4's are soon to be obsolete. There is a new Cardo set that links multiple units about to come out.

The Cardo 2 is what I have been using for years and they work well for communication. I am not sure about the other purposes you mention.

Thanks guys. I mentioned that both of us being able to hear GPS because my wife will be driving just as much as me. I didn't want to have to repeat directions that I heard in the back via comm :-) Just lazy. Plus it'd be nice for her to hear the XM as well. I did see there is a headphone out. I wonder if the ZUMO can output via bluetooth and that headphone jack at the same time. I could just run that into the jack on her headset. Hmmmm

Thanks for the info about the other models!

When your wife is up front, just link the GPS to her helmet instead.

I'm going to have to check that out this weekend. It wouldn't make sense for the intercom not being able to override the XM radio. I'll report back. :dontknow:

Yup-- or if you don't want to re-pair things (which I always found to be a pain with the Cardo units) --- I would just swap the Sena units from helmet to helmet.. they snap right off and in ---- 5 seconds or less......

I'm not sure if the Garmin will continue to output to the headphone jack while transmitting via bluetooth.

Another way you could do this... and this is kinda clumsy.... but will work....

Buy a headphone Y splitter that allows 2 headphones to plug into your garmin.

Then plug in 2 bluetooth transmitters.. one into each of the headphone plugs from the Y adapter.

Link her headset to one transmitter.. and yours to the other.

These units work well:

I link my Sena to one of these all the time......

I also use a headphone Y audio splitter which allows me to use 2 Sena SMH10 Headsets via 2 Sony Bluetooth transmitters (Sony TMR-BT10)
each one paired to the Sena SMH10 Headset

Sena have just released the following SM10 See

http://www.senabluetooth.com/downloads/datasheet/Datasheet_Sena_SM10.pdf

This may be the answer to having 2 headset connected to 1 input

Hope this helps
