There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 2 borthers juice box?

I am reminded of the old saying, "You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar." It doesn't pay to tick off Santa Claus, IMO.

I am sure open to any approach that will get us the RT map, but whatever we have been doing is not working.

The first things that come to mind are to offer to pay extra for it; to offer up an RT for testing; or for another manufacturer to introduce a competing product. Maybe you should nicely ask what it would take. Be prepared for an answer you don't want to hear.

Development time costs money. No manufacturer does it without the likelihood of a significant return on their investment. To develop a different map for each variation in aftermarket accessories is to try to fill dozens of tiny niche markets...not a profitable venture. Their best bet is to tailor the "black box" to the accessories they sell, and by doing so, sell more of each product. Can't blame them for that. If I were them, my reply would be "Show me the money!"

Just some clarifying on maps supplied by manufacturers. Although all Spyders are supposed to be built the same, ryding style, altitude where the Spyder will be operated and any additional mods that effect air/fuel flow will make a map act differently. I have countless hours/days working on dyno's when setting up the map for my Hayabusa. I have even gone so far as to have maps created for my area here in Fl and others for when I go to the cabin in NC, due to the altitude changes. If you have access to dyno for the Spyder, it makes life easier. If not, you can STILL fine tune the maps provided with the JB Pro by using a well trained ear, plug inspection and an AFR meter. There is, unfortunately, no written in stone rule for tuning motors. Its a matter of preference if you want to run a little rich to promote longer enghine life and cooler running temps, or a little leaner for the max you can get from your Spyder, ala Doc and Seth.

I was in touch with TwoBrosRacing today again asking them about a map for aftermarket filters, This is the email they sent:

"The airflow difference the air filter created is small enough for the efi to
compensate for, especially if you have the juice box pro or power commander. No need to adjust."

Guess this resolves the question about getting a map from them tuned for the TBR pipe & Green Filter.

I have a regular JB. Got it because my dual 2Bros pipes were backfiring often. They sounded wicked awesome but wasn't healthy for the engine. Running too lean...

Have the JB at the stock setting and backfiring gone and performance is up.

Yeah, with each update, BRP made the bike run 'less lean'...so, we had to keep dialing the numbers back...I'm not at stock levels with my JB, but I'm not most of the way up like I used to be...

No question the JB makes a huge difference with performance...

:agree:

Hard to explain... But the "Fun" factor is taken to a new level with the JB

With the information I have received from you Spyder experienced folks, I will leave my RT-S stock, at least for a few thousand miles. My question is the TB juice box come in two models...? I see some refer to the JB Pro and others just the juick box....If two models, what is the advantage of each? Thanks.

JB Pro is the new model and the only JB for the RT. Take a look at the TBR site for comparison info.

Okay, thanks. I will leave it stock for a while and see how it goes. My dealer sells the JB Pro and 2Bro muffler....but I am sure at a higher price....

If/when I get them (I love the sound) I will have them install them and eat the price increase...then I can beat on them if it is screwed up.

They have a "very good" Spyder mechanic, per the several Spyder owners who bought trikes from them.

Like Clint says, "Ya pays your money and ya takes your chances!"

Our dealer actually charged us less than the TB posted prices :yes::firstplace:

The JB pro for the RS is really the way to go for tuning options on the fly, and the only option (As stated above) for the RT.

What we found was in enough situations the xtra umph was desired, and fulfilled by the addition of the JB on our RT. We purchased the Exhaust right away and LOVED the reduced weight on the RT.

If you get a chance to hear multiple exhausts in use on RT's, I would before you buy. Ones music is anothers noise... I will say in nearly every instance when another Spyder owner and I bump into each other, the one time they comment on is how they like the sound of the TB pipe on our Spyder better than their own :2thumbs:

I have heard the TBR dual pipes on an RS and they are awesome! The RT with a Cat and single pipe muffler will probably never sound that good.

Your guess is accurate. We had the Titanium TB can on our RT. Frankly it is hard to describe. But I will try :roflblack:

It is similar to a cross between the Harley straight pipe sound and a 4cycle ATV can. I think it falls right in the middle tone wise. It is a rather sexy sound... Rumbles but not loud at all. Makes the Hindle sound like a cheap knockoff.

In fact I had to put the -7db tips on our RS dual setup because I find it too loud as it is intended for my daily driver vehicle, and it is still louder than the RT single can was with no tips (Ran stock open end).

Waterproof?

Just wondering if my Juice Box Pro is waterproof. It's installed under the seat per instructions. I usually prop the Corbin seat way up when washing the Spyder.

Just ordered a JB Pro for my 2010 RTS for $257 w/ free shipping from JC Motors.

Hope to heck it's as plug and play as they claim and that it's an as noticeable of a difference as everyone says because I'm a ten thumbed mechanic.

Wanted to buy it the same place as a Green Filter, but for $257 it's almost like getting the Green Filter for free, so I'll survive making two different orders.

Did my JB PRO about 4 weeks ago and have not did any real runs with spyder yet. When I installed the wire plug on the injectors noticed plug not sitting right on injector.Got a mirror and saw plastic part on plug hitting the motor and not letting the plug seat right on injector.Had to file down the plastic on the plug. When I finally got it right both sides of the plug have two clips and they were both clipped and plug was straight. If I did not look with the mirror the plug was just clipped on one side oniy and maybe could of vibrated off or not have a good connection.

tail gunner exhaust

has anybody installed this exhaust and if anyone needed juice box also limp home mode came on after installing and riding with new exhaust

IMHO, it's not the pipe causing your problems. I'd revisit your JB installation... something is wrong there.

Tried everything..., and still...

My 2009 SE5 Spyder has a Hindle installed, and a KewlMetal air-box.

Liked the sound of the Hindle, and after many other home-made arrangements, I finally got rid of the oil-in-the airbox-syndrome using the KewlMetal air arrangement.

I was NOT looking for improved performance.

After these mods, the mix got too lean, and resulted in pre-detonation hiccups upstairs, and backfiring downstairs.

So I bought the O2 Modifier and installed it, but after doing the disconnection of the battery leads and the "reseting procedure" (15 minutes running at idle, 15 minutes cooling off, and then running it), the lean mixture problem persist.

Wonder what kind of Juice Box or Power Commander type gadget will finally let me enjoy my Spyder to the fullest, without worrying about the health of the engine.

I live in a hot weather area, and being too lean also contributes to the engine temperature problem.

Suggestions, advices, etc., are welcome.

Saludos, Pilo
