Tried everything..., and still...
My 2009 SE5 Spyder has a Hindle installed, and a KewlMetal air-box.
Liked the sound of the Hindle, and after many other home-made arrangements, I finally got rid of the oil-in-the airbox-syndrome using the KewlMetal air arrangement.
I was NOT looking for improved performance.
After these mods, the mix got too lean, and resulted in pre-detonation hiccups upstairs, and backfiring downstairs.
So I bought the O2 Modifier and installed it, but after doing the disconnection of the battery leads and the "reseting procedure" (15 minutes running at idle, 15 minutes cooling off, and then running it), the lean mixture problem persist.
Wonder what kind of Juice Box or Power Commander type gadget will finally let me enjoy my Spyder to the fullest, without worrying about the health of the engine.
I live in a hot weather area, and being too lean also contributes to the engine temperature problem.
Suggestions, advices, etc., are welcome.
