This post is intended to help those coming to Spyder Fest for the first time as well as reminders for all others. This list is not complete - needs input from others as seen fit.
So here goes:
1. What to wear? Spring in Springfield - can be cold, dry, hot and/or wet. (all in the same day) If you think you might need it: bring it. Also close by is a friendly Walmart.
2. You do not need to bring a basket - but do bring something to place in a basket. Baskets will be raffled off with money going to charity. What to bring for a basket? Think something local to your home - wine from CA, Hot Sauce from LA - you get the idea.
3. Tie Dye tee shirt. We lost one of our members a few years back and he ALWAYS had on a Tie Dyed shirt. These shirts not only symbolize the loss of him, but any others that we may have lost during the year ---- and those that can't be with us. Saturday during the "Fest is the normal day to wear it, but you sure can wear one every day if you like.
4. Support our vendors -- been waiting to have your prized ride's front end alignment done? You have come to the right place. Thinking about some lights? Got 'em! Need a battery? Yea -- all kinds of 'stuff will be there - along with custom pin stripes, etc. If you think it: it will be there. If not there, we can discuss it over a drink at Happy Hour back at the motel. Mr. Joe will be taking care of one of the hotels .
5. You will enjoy your time at Spyder Fest.
6. Okay gang -- all is fair now to add to the list to help our first timers...
Just to compile all the information, I'll put it here in this post.
Camera - and charger for it if needed
Cell Phone - and charger - and if used for photo's you might want another memory stick
Helmet - You will be in a State that requires riders to have one
Underwear - won't go there
Sun glasses
Laundry detergent pods - and some quarters
Check book - credit cards - drivers license --

Items for the Raffle Baskets

Hope this helps....
