• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Before I contact my Dealer(Ontario, Canada) and book my first service (5000km) on my F3-S what have others being paying so I can compare.

CHECK PROVINCIAL LAWS

Excellent, I think thats what mine will cost
........In the U.S.A., we have the Moss-Magnusson Act to protect us from " service work being required to done by the Dealer " as a Warranty requirement. I don't know if you are covered with a similar Law.......Mike :thumbup::thumbup:

I would keep good records (and receipts) of your work if you decide to do it yourself should a warranty issue arises later. Personally, I bit the bullet, and spent the cash, just to cover my ass. Also, I figured it would be good for the dealer to give it the "once over" for whatever that's worth. Just speaking from experience...

$240 for my RTS in Winston-Salem, NC ,that hurt. I don't know if it is the same on the F3 ?

While it is a good thing to be able to change your own oil and stuff, it might be advisable to let the dealer do the first one so that you can have them check everything else while they have it, and make sure that the computer has the latest software updates. Just my .02 cents worth.

3000 Mile Service

About $350 for the first service on the itemized receipt on my F3. There is a long list of things that were supposedly checked. I did get the extended warranty and a service plan when purchased so hopefully no out of pocket $$ for a few years:ohyea:.
