• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

just came back from 4 days, 1700 miles trip and i did not spot one spyder.
about 2000 motorcycles but no :spyder2:. its just a shame.
i took off from los angeles on friday and took hwy. 1 all the way to san francisco, than over the bay bridge and then to reno, nevada to las vegas to laughlin nevada to palm springs and back to los angeles. i took as little freeway as possible.
nicest part was ryde thru death valley. very few vehicles were on the road.
that was what open air ryde should be like. 100 miles or so of nothingness.

until i got pulled over by park ranger for going 80 on a 60 road.:(
but she was nice enough to let me go with just warning thou.:yes:

one day i hope to take a trip like this with other :spyder2: ryders:pray:

p.s. i definitely have to get a auxiliary fuel tank of a sort. too much anxiety over if i am gonna make it to next fuel stop...

Congrats on the great ride. By the way, I have probably 12,000 miles on my Spyder without seeing another one on the road (except for dltang's). They are still few and far between and I still get a bit excited if I see one that I wasn't expecting to see.

I also don't like the feeling of being low on fuel while in an unfamiliar area, not knowing how far until the next gas station. We've got a plan for some spare fuel for our trip out to LA.
