• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

17,981 and counting...

Bob:

Not to rain on your parade but I would think it would be the NET members who are worth noting. The GROSS number of members on the list no doubt includes those who have passed on, dropped out or are otherwise inactive. For example, I looked up Nancy's Toy, who used to be an active participant in this board but as far as I know he has dropped out. I'm sure there are many others that would not be included in the count.

Doesn't Matter

That doesn't matter. Active or not, once you join up, you can't quit. Even if you die, you're still a member - you can't get out of here that easy. (Unless Lamont erases you with his "magic keyboard". ;) )

Truth is... either way, the total number does give an accurate impression of the popularity of the forum.

There are a lot of posters that were one timers and done. They signed up so they could post an ad for something related to , make a post or two, promote spam, or to make a troll post.

There are also many who have 10 or less posts before they came and went.

There are also a few that met with an unhappy welcome and decided that this was not the place. I do believe we have been working on making that situation better.

I am glad that we have a good set of "archives" to look up prior information. Scotty's wealth of information is one such example.

:dontknow: I'm just using the number that is on the Homepage... :dontknow:
If it's good enough for Lamont; it's more than good enough for me!

O.K. where is the member list ? THX

Click on FORUM...the word COMMUNITY will appear in the toolbar. Click on COMMUNITY and then go to MEMBERS LIST.

The list starts out alphabetical--but clicking on the top of most columns brings it into a listing in reverse numerical order.

Actually, I do not know. I looked at Bob's directions, but stopped there. I am a few months earlier than the other poster who figured out their number--so guess is somewhere around the five thousands.

#3612....
You're the twelfth entry on the 121st page...

Me? 13012 If you look at the bottom of the list it shows what member numbers on that page. Just count forward or backward from the first or last entry on that page and that's your number!

Number 508

I never really thought about this until recently. I thought I remembered when we hit 600 members so I did Bob's calculations, I was number 508. Guess I been around for a while.
