• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just turned 31000 miles today in just over a year! Poor spyder spent 50 days in the shop this last year and will be going in for another 50 plus days to fix what they could not the first time...but that's not way I'm posting.
I don't live in the south yet and to hit that many miles in just over a year I think is amazing. So here is to more miles and smiles!!!:thumbup:20151121_113307.jpg

Congratulations..!!

Busy traveler...got 31+ on mine in three years and never left the state...:roflblack: good luck with the repairs and good travels next season...:ohyea:

Nice to see the miles. Hope they can get the mechanical issues fixed. Why not have them do this during the winter season?

I drop it of every December because I'm not going to give up my spring summer and fall. I know my deal sucks and is another long story ....I hope I will get it back by February so I will have 30 days to take it back a couple times before spring!!! Really really bad shop!!!! The spyder is a very cool machine and I can not wait for spring and I have not put it up yet!!

:congrats: Im close @ 547 days new & 24,546miles. Only down time was a month stall from DMV& bank on title. After the dealer tag expired:banghead:. But ive been rocking ever day there after rain or shine. :b2b: Love my spyder:firstplace:

You could pass me this winter...3 months of hibernation!

That's great! Think of the fun you could have if you could only ride year round. I've had mine 630 days and I've got just under 63,000 miles on it. I have loved every mile on this Spyder.

Why so much shop time?

As a ST owner, you have me wondering why your Spyder is spending so much time in the shop. I don't mean to pry, but I'm just wondering if there is something I need to know.:sour:

:agree: Mine was in for the side panel exchange due to the heat problem and to get the BajaRon sway bar and links installed. Recently after I came back from a couple hours of riding,
I noticed that the cover over my tag light was missing???? Weird!!! I will pick up a new one this Tuesday, and naturally the cover is not sold separately, I had to buy the entire fixture!!!
That is it, otherwise the ownership experience has been a BLAST!!!!!!

Very long story...very bad dealer.

I bought the spyder new and it was my second spyder. When I bought it it had a vibation in the handle bars...oil leak...noise in front end ...water drops behind Gage cover... So being my second spyder I knew that my home town dealer sucked so I took it to a different dealer but owned by same guy! Took 50 days to fix oil leak that still is not fixed. They could never figure out vibation told me it was because I did not rotate my tires well it's a out of round wheel. So that being said my last spyder 2012 rs se5 was very reliable and this one needs a lot of love and my dealer sucks. So I will take it back to get all of that fixed plus left turn sigal headlight assy limp home mode issues.
Love my sts and if my dealer was good it would not have spent so much time in the shop.
So I need to live where spyderann lives 65000 miles sounds very fun!!

I hope the dealer can get your problems fixed or you can find a shop that knows what they are doing! That way you can enjoy your Spyder without interruption!

So I usually put my spyder in the shop this time of year but the weather has been to nice. So I've been ryding and put another 1000 miles on it!!! So 32000 miles now and with temps in the 60's next 2 days I will be ryding and the shop will have to wait!!! Sorry shop!!

You need to stop more , have a Burger, drink a Beer and talk to more people. It's not how many miles you put on but the quality of the miles you do ride. Thats a lot of miles to put on in one year. It almost borders on obsessive. Stop and smell the roses and the world you live in. Life is short and not meant to set records. Records are soon forgotten.

Merry Christmas and a Happy new year.

That's your opinion Jack and you are entitled to it. I happen to agree with GreatRides, and if you think about it, if he didn't really enjoy riding his screen name probably wouldn't be GreatRides. I happen to love to ride so every mile I get to ride increases my quality of life.

And don't drink a beer when you are riding, that is really stupid.

Your 100% right! It's not how many miles but who you meet and what you see. Love taking the wife and the girls out on it and who's to say...just might be a little obsessive:yikes:

Anyway, if it's your thing do it and enjoy it. Life is short with many options.

Go back to bed Ann and try getting up on the other side. Sounds like I set off your trip meter. :D We all know you are the "Queen of mileage". :joke: Maybe a Snickers would help? Who said anything about riding and drinking at the same time?
