I WILL BEAT MONEY THEY DON't PULL THE VALVE COVER. ONLY AFTER THEY RUN COMPRESSION TEST. IF THEY FIND IT LOW, THEY WILL PULL COVER AND CHECK THEM. IF YOU HAVE A TIGHT VALVE, COMPRESSION WILL BE LOWER. MOST ALL THE SHOPS DO THIS. THEY HAVE BEEN DOING THIS ON RACE CARS PERFORMANCE VEHICLES FOR EVER. I HAD MY NEW F-150 YAMAHA OUT BOAR,. IN FOR THE FIRST CHECK UP. THEY CHARGED ME $165.00 TO CHECK THE VALVES. I WENT BACK IN TO PICK BOAT UP LATER. SAW THE GUY THAT HAD WORK ON MY BOAT, I ASK HIM HOW WAS THE VALVE SETTINGS. HE JUST LOOKED AT ME NO ANSWER. I SAID SO YOU JUST RAN A COMPRESSION TEST TO CHECK FOR TIGHT VALVES. HE SAID YES. I WENT BACK UP TO THE SHOP,JUMPED THE GUY IN CHARGE. HE DIDN'T SAY ONE WORD, TOOK THE $165 OFF MY BILL. SO YOU GUYS PAYING FOR A VALVE CHECK, WATCH THEM DO THE JOB OR JUST LOOK AT THE MOTOR, YOU CAN TELL IF NEW VALVE COVER GASKET. IF THEY ARE GOING TO PULL MY COVER OFF TO CHECK VALVES. YOU CAN BEAT THAT I WILL HAVE THEM INSTALL A NEW GASKET. I HAVE BEEN AROUND THE OLD GAME ALONG TIME. HAVE DRAG BIKES, DRAG CARS, STOCKS CARS.
