There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 1330 and Gas Mileage Review - What's yours? Anyone else tracking theirs?

Average over 7 Spyders and 200K + miles.

The 998's (two cylinder), High revs recommended (5500) using 91 (Premium) then 87 (Regular) High 30's. I owned three of these machines.

The 1330's (three cylineder), Revs recommended (3500) using 91 Premium then 87 (Regular) then from 2019 on (87 Regular w/ 10% ethanol) High 30's to low 40's. I owned four of these machines.

 PS: I never bought Spyders for the mileage factor. I liked the ride and the feel of three wheels under my belt.

Past 2019 F3S with custom PV3 tune varied from 40 - 28 mpg. The lows were on 80 mph interstates.
2022 RT STS basically the same. Lows on 80 mph interstates.
I always ride solo...

My 2014 RTL average is 36-38 mpgs. About the same mpg as our 2017 Ford Escape.

Our rides are 2 UP 95% of the time, and generally keep the speed between 55-65 on our 2 lane roads here.
Lots of small towns around us, so we fill up before we leave our area. Too many close calls for needing a refill vs. WALKING. roflmao

22 F3S solo rider, hwy riding, spirited at times, only checked it once at it was at 35 mpg. I can get 200 miles per tank easily so that has become my range indicator.

Best MPG 47.9
Worst MPG 22.7
Count of fill up entries 419
fillups > 40 MPG 18
fillups < 30 MPG 110
Lifetime Avg. MPG
Actual Calculated 32.2
Spyder Computer 30.8

My wife and I have been able to achieve 31.x mpg on our two RTL’s as shown on our instrument panel of combined city/highway driving over thousands of miles travelled together or alone.

I just checked my phone; I've tracked all my gas since I purchased my Spyder in the fall of 2022. My records show a low of 30.3 to a high of 37.75 mpg. On most tanks, I average 34 to 36. This is all from a mix of back road cruising thru to 80mph interstates, and I usually don't waste any time getting up to the speed limit or above.

I did a search on the forum for Gas Mileage, expecting to get a bunch of hits, but nope. I got a lot of unrelated topics, so here i am asking.

As the topic states, anyone track their gas mileage or MPG?

I have filled up 3 times since I got my F3-S and I am getting 34.9mpg. this is about 180-200 miles per tank.

I am not running it dry, just until the indicators pop up and say it's low. The range indicator typically says I have about 35-40 miles left to go. I have put in 5.2 to 5.8 gallons at each fill up. If my math is correct, the tank is 7 gallons so I should (in theory) have about 43 miles until it's all gone.

This tells me the tank and range functions are pretty close. (And that I should not wait or push that 40 mile buffer very much!)

Is my experience so far typical? What are you guys/gals getting? Should I expect more or is my MPG average?

I get 32 to 34 MPG on my 2014 RTL on 91 octane; but tried 87 octane and got the same milage. Just turned 13,000 on the odometer. MPG is not a concern of mine!:ohyea:

Averaging 35.2 mpg (US gallons) on a 2022 RT Limited with 7,406 miles. We ride 2 up 95% of the time. I would characterize our riding style as non-aggressive. My friends say I'm a putz.

Edited mpg figure.

I have a 2023 F3 LTD Special Series, I ride solo all the time, and I get roughly lower 30's mpg.

I usually top off when the gas tank is: almost empty, or half full. I ride mostly highways, and country roads. Speed is anywhere from 25 to 70 mph.

Thanks for the replies. it seems like I am in the "Normal Zone" with my 35mpg average. I didn't buy the Spyder for gas mileage, and my inquiry was more to see what I can expect over time as all my cars and motorcycles have improved their MPG as they broke in. All things being equal, a smooth running engine will get better gas mileage than one that is running poorly, running rich or lean. I'm prepping for my first oil change (hope to get it done at 600 miles) I want to log and track these things and a baseline is important.

My 15 RTS gets 37-45 depending on how I twist the throttle. Also got really crappy mileage in a headwind of only 75 miles on the freeway. Best was 270miles to a tank.
Just fyi. Only the v twins were 600 mile oil change. Go to 3k and get it done then unless you’re in Alaska or Montana getting ready for winter/snowmobile season.

....

I've merged your thread into one of the numerous threads already here broderp, but for you & anyone else who might like to look at what's already here that's basically responding to this same question, just type 'Gas Mileage' into the search field; tick the 'Search Titles Only' box; and submit the search!

From there, most of the time, just reading the thread title will give you a reasonable idea of what's in the thread - and in this case, there's a fair few to choose from... admittedly, not quite as many as you'd get for an 'What oil' search - cos 'gas mileage' only returns 8 pages of results (many of which apply to this particular question) and that's not quite as many as you'll get for any oil searches! :banghead:

Me and the wife don't worry what our gas mileage is on our Spyders. We get on, fill them up at gas station and head out riding. When we want to stop, to stretch, look at something, or just want to get a snack, we stop and fill up our Spyders, get pop or coffee, & candy bars. And then on the road again. If the Spyders run good, we go till we want to stop. Didn't buy them to worry 'bout mileage or what gas costs. Just ride and worry less.

My data since I purchased it 48 months ago and 47,649 miles. 1,257.7 gal used so 37.89mpg. $5,022.35 spent on fuel so $.105 per mile. $/gal is $3.993. A mixture of 87-93 octane and probably 25%/75% 2up/1up.

I’ve been tracking the MPG on my '14 RT S since Day 1, and I average 35 - 36 MPG since I bought it in 2015. The wind does affect it, as well as the terrain, and definitely how hard you twist your wrist.
