12v outlet in trunk dead.

My local dealership installs the 12v outlet on every new Spyder they sell, but in my case, they did not install the required fuse. I used a spare from the fuse box lid.

Anyone out there have pictures as to where the 12V outlet is hooked up.:helpsmilie: I have no idea where to start or what to remove.. Thanks:bowdown:

The instructions that come with it are good, but your goal is to remove the trunk. As your looking at the front of the spyder the wires are behind the upper right corner of the trunk. Read the instructions.

Buy the way, if you do not have the instrutions, I can run you though them. It,s fairly easy, but also detailed. It would help to have the templet.

I used that outlet wire to run into my fusebox(Eastern Beaver) for the switched power. I then wired 2 outlets on the dash so I can get to them. Didn't see much use for an outlet in the trunk. I also had to put a fuse in the box since it didn't come with one there. That outlet wired is tied into the frame support on the left side behind the shock. AS I recall it has a rubber boot on the end of it. Don't really need to take the trunk off to get to it but it does make it easier. Lots of posts here on how to get to it. Use search. There is a good one started back in may-june called power outlet. Lots of good info. I would link it but my copy and paste is not working for some reason.
