• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

12 Volt outlet in the trunk - what do you use it for?

Used it to charge the cell phone when it has needed it. don't usually carry the phone on me - but in the trunk as full ryding gear doesn't afford quick access to the phone anyway. plan on installing powerlets in the ash in the future for GPS and other needs.

I used it to power my GPS. I could route the GPS power cable down under my Windshield/CHAD and still close the trunk over the cord and have everything water tight. Now I'm using a Easternbeaver PC-8 and powlets in the dash.... Considering that powerlets are superior for use on bikes due to their positive conenctions (won't vibrate out), it is still potentially good to have a standard USA style outlet there. ( You can get powerlet to US 12volt outlet adapters too).
