• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

12-v plug

could someone tell me if the 12-v plug comes standard on the spyder
The 12-v plug is an accessory and has to be bought and installed. It's supposed to go in the trunk. It's virually useless... but some folks like it. There's others on here who've installed similar plugs in different locations.

It is an inexepensive add-on but, like Spyderman684 said, the location in the trunk is not convenient. I have it though, along with the Evoluzion powerbus to allow more electrical accessory connections and a powerlet 12 volt outlet that I installed on the dash.

I've used the trunk 12v once. On the way home from Valcourt to charge a portable radio while we were riding. I like these aftermarket powerlet outlets much better. When I have heated gloves or gear this winter it will be much more convenient.
