• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 10th Anniversary of the Spyder June 2,3,4th 2017

I was able to register for my hotel on line; so I guess it just depends on which hotel if you need to call.

Everything I see about this says limited spaces but I thought I saw a listing the other day saying that 1800 people have registered so far. Not sure that this is a correct number but would be interesting to know how many have registered and what BRP means by limited.

I am on my fourth version of my route to and from?

I got an email today from BRP "10 Anniversary Homecoming Valcourt 2017" The Can-Am Spyder Factory In Valcourt Quebec, tells some history about it. Did you know?

For those who have already registered the official countdown has began! It shows 2 pictures. Shows a small building and a new factory. Guests in town for the 10th Anniversary event next year will get VIP access to the latest plant in Valcourt.

Also, Event registration is Mandatory and spaces are limited. HURRY! For more information and register today go to SPYDERHOMECOMING.COM.

Did anyone else get the above email?

Deanna

Hey everybody, on BRP's Facebook page it says that there are 331 people registered. So where does the 1800 come from?

Thanks !

I :dontknow::dontknow::dontknow: where 1800 came from!! :yikes: Deanna

The 1800 number came from Marc Lacroix, Director of Global Product Management, BRP, in a video a couple months ago. If you go to this link, https://www.facebook.com/CanAmSpyder/videos look for the video named " Live from the new J. Armand Bombardier Museum"

Thank you PrairieSpyder! Great idea. I will look into that.

:welcome: to the zoo!

I don't have a shipper to recommend, but there's a train service on the east coast on which you can have your Spyders accompany you on board. It doesn't go all the way to the border, but it would be a way to get closer, and then ryde the rest of the way.

Thank you very much. That is a great idea. We will check that out. It's not too far from our home to get to the station - 3 hours or so. That might work! ;)

Thank you!

I recently purchased my Spyder in the Tampa area and used uship.com to find transportation to Indiana. You can check feedback of the shippers to help you choose the best one for you. The shipper I used was a few dollars more than the cheapest but he did a fine job.
I used http://www.uship.com/profile/RebelRecovery/ and was very pleased.

Thank you for the idea. Uship is an option for us. I will check out the link you posted. I really appreciate the reply. Thanks again.

Check your motorcycle insurance company

Check with your motorcycle insurance company, to see you need any additional coverage/or paper work, going to/and returning back to the USA.

I just checked with my motorcycle insurance company, they said " keep your Insurance Id card with you".

Or

Good morning - my wife and I are planning to go the 10th Anniversary event which is really exciting. We love our bikes and are looking forward to making the trip.

I have a question for the group.

We have two RT Sypders and are wondering if anyone has a recommendation or input on shipping or trailering them. We live in Naples, FL.

If you have a transporter that you have used or another means of getting your bikes from point A to point B, could you please reply.

Thank you very much!

Brett W. Nesbit

you could ryde from Florida to Canada!

I admit I didn't read through the entire thread (or see it elsewhere), so I'll be lazy and ask: any rules about bring a NON-Spyder to the event? :dontknow:

I've only got the RS, but GF will come, but we won't do two-up that great a distance. We *would*, however, ride both the RS and my other bike*, which we'd prefer over riding the RS and driving the car.

I presume like most rallies this wouldn't be a problem for parking and attending, but of course I was only able to register my Spyder for the event.

* My Honda CB500F right now, but I'm thinking ANOTHER bike will be joining the stable by spring... dang, these things are addictive.

I don't have an answer, but someone else should chime- in with an answer. Deanna

Motorcycles vs Spyders

When the owners event was held here in Ottawa Canada, my husband would not have been allowed to ride his Valkyrie on the group rides. It was Spyders only. I have been told it would be the same for any group rides for this event. We will be riding two up on my Spyder for any group rides.

Thanks, was already planning that much. We did that at the Owner's Event in Maggie Valley a few years back-- I rode, she drove, but we rode at the rally. Just wondering if I can even get my bike on the homecoming grounds to *park* it, or if I'll have to leave it at the hotel the entire time.

I really don't know the answer to your question but I honestly believe they wouldn't have a problem with you parking it at the home coming grounds. Group rides would be another story as you have already concluded. Staff of BRP ride other makes beside Spyders so they are used to having other bikes there.
Could you not send them something by email or other and ask them directly?

Gary
