• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    "Don't touch my spyder" sticker?

On a trip last summer while passing through Yellowstone I met a group of people from Bejing while eating my lunch. They saw my RT-s and were all excited about it. One girl spoke a little English and asked if they could photograph it. They each took a picture of themselves on the trike with me...

    Throttle Meister and Heated Grips

This summer I purchased the Throttle Meister for my 2010 RT-S. I had neglected to consider the heated grips which prevented me from using the Meister. I covered the grips with foam covers to boost the grip diameter. I realize that with winter riding the heat does not transfer well through the...

    Throttlemeister

Has anyone installed a Throttlemeister on a 2010 RT-S? The instructions state to roll the grip back about one inch from the end of the throttle. The grip on my Spyder is hard rubber. So do I cut off one inch? Can anyone explain this to me?

Whats the average age of Spyder Riders?

I don't remember being born. I was quite young at the time but it was 73 years ago. Growing old is mandatory but maturing is optional.

    Foam Grips

I'm looking for foam grips for my 2010 RT-S. I am looking for grips that will fit over the existing grips to give me a little larger diameter. I presently have the Throttlemeiser on my grips which should not interfere. Maybe foam paint roller covers ? Yellow ones? :>) I am sure I have seen posts...

    Gas Mileage

In the city traffic 25,26 or so. I ride lots harder keeping out of traffic or staying ahead of it. On an open road 34-36 when following the speed limit. Considerably less when pushing it.

    New Luggage Rack

I installed a new luggage rack today courtesy InspectorGadget. It is the first chrome model he has produced. It is very well constructed and finished. It even has chromed fender washers. Installation is relatively simple. Just follow easy directions and it is very hard to make a mistake. It may...

    User settings > area/zone

The dash cluster is pretty useless for many of us old folks. Only thing I can read is the rpm and mph without leaning forward with reading glasses. Just another shortcomming of an otherwise wonderful machine. I wish it would be bit larger. My distance vision is just fine and I can't really...

    Car Tires and BEST warranty

Has anyone had BEST warranty problems because of using a car tire on the rear wheel? I have about 12000 miles and I'm riding on the wear bars. Is it don't ask, don't tell or do I just take a chance? The fast wear and cost of a dealer tire is disturbing to me. I presume this has been discussed...

    CORBIN....never again

My two wheels had a Mustang seat which I loved. I am satisfied with my RT-S saddle. I have taken several 2000 mile trips without a sore butt. However on my recent trip I did pick up a mesh and gel padded seat cushion for $20 from WallyWorld. It was cheap and very comfortable. I have thought...

32 MPG Avg on 2300 mi trip

I returned yesterday from Branson, a round trip from Denver just over 1800 miles. My 2010 RT-S has just under 12000 miles and is dealer serviced. I traveled very few interstates and nearly all country and back roads. Speed on the country roads was 55 to 60 mph and 75 to 80 on the interstates. I...

    Branson Trip

Just checked the map. It's real close to Branson. It's only 3/4 of an inch away! >:) If things work out we can do that. We have no specific plans so we are playing it by ear.
