• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gifts you gave your loved ones.

Wife's gift I didn't buy it, but this was my wife's gift for Christmas. Her name is Holy.

    I Purchased A New F3 Limited Chrome

I started out with a RS, then a RTS, and ended with a F3T. I have to admit that I loved all three, but most of it depended on how I was riding. When ryding alone the F3T was the best, but two-up the RTS was the way to go. As for the RS I liked it ryding single, but my wife would not go long...

    Draw The Curtain...

Take care Bob, and hope everything turns for the better. While we have never met in person, we have conversed (a little bit) on this site before. Sad, as this is not the message board it once was with everyone else leaving, and who knows now that you are leaving. I know I read the posts, but...

Hyperflashing - is that a problem?

I had no trouble The hyper-flash would come back when I would connect, or un-connect the trailer. The trailer had LED blinker/brake lights, and I believed the adding/subtracting of the trailer lights was the cause for it coming back. I could have added resistors, I just did the fix each time I...

    Priced Out...

Seanyradar: I used to live in San Jacinto, so I know Temecula Motorsports is a little further away from you. When I bought my F3T they were easy to deal with when I told them I will only pay "X" amount out the door for the Spyder. You just have to be diligent on your price, and be ready to walk...

    Priced Out...

I did this on a car I purchased, got a great deal because I knew they were going to make extra on the financing, made sure there was no pre-payoff fees, and then paid off the load on the first payment date. Dealer was happy they made money off the loan, and I saved money on the deal.

    Wrong day, Wrong destination.....

Reminds me of one time our ryding group went to have lunch in the mountains. Having to make a fuel stop several members of the group stopped at a gas station. As they came up to the gas pumps they saw a group of Vargo's, and could not leave without being obvious. As they were getting of their...

Sway Bar Install In So Cal

Glad you found the jack and stands to do it yourself. It is so much more fun to do it, than to pay someone else. You really learn much about the Spyder this way.

Sway Bar Install In So Cal

I agree with what others have said. It is very easy to do the install yourself, but if you are intent on paying someone to do it. This is the man to go to. Lou (Pirate Powersports) in Riverside, Ca. 951-757-9143. He was the only mechanic I trusted with my Spyder when I lived in So Cal.

    Messing with scammers

I had that one once, and was told they needed my bank account and routing number to process the refund. I told them I had to get my check book, and will be right back. Put the phone on mute, and waited five minutes with him saying "hello and are you there" before he hug up. Love having an...

My Spyder bloopers - I will tell you mine if you tell us yours

Okay, I can top it. Took my 2010 RS into the dealer for a service, and took home a 2012 RT. Wait a second, that is not a bad blooper. You win :2thumbs:

My Spyder bloopers - I will tell you mine if you tell us yours

Washed my RT, and while either washing or drying I hit the kill switch. After I was done the RT would not start, and I was afraid I shorted out something in the electronics. At the time I never used the kill switch to turn off the motor.

    Tipping on a cruise ship?

I have been on several cruses (from 3 to 15 days), and always do the prepaid tipping thing since sadly this is how they get a proper paycheck. Then at the end of the cruise I individually tip those (room steward, waiters) that gave me great service. As for the bar staff, I rarely use them, as I...

I had to wait 60 seconds? I guess I'm just a slow reader. I have no problem with the rules either.
