• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2010 RT Oil Change?

I've done my own oil changes and most maintenance on my 2010 RT annually since it was new. This year I haven't used the RT as much as in past years and only have about 700 miles on it since the last oil change/service performed November 2014. I use BRP synthetic blend oil and filters. I know...

    Loose Left Control Cluster Fix?

Thanks but I believe I remember reading a post where BRP came out with a fix that did not require replacing the complete cluster, wrapping with tape, or filing . Hopefully someone will remember the post I've been searching for.

    Loose Left Control Cluster Fix?

I have searched the forum and can't find the fix BRP came out with a year or so ago for the loose left control cluster most of us have on the 2010 and 2011 RT. Seems to me someone came up with a service bulletin or something with a repair part number that will fix this problem. Any ideas?

    Air Bubbles?

Good information Scotty. I changed my oil (BRP) and filters back in November on the 2010 RTS SE5. Used the stated quantity of oil in the manuals like I have always done. I took it for a 10 or 12 mile run and pulled back in the garage to check the oil where I found it right at the full mark...

Lamonster Laser Alignment coming to VA...maybe

I live only 20 miles from Remington, VA but will be at our south Florida home later this month through the first of April. Any chance Lamonster will be doing alignments in FL this winter or will be back in Virginia later next year? January weather in Virginia can be pretty nasty. Sure hope...

    Parking Brake Not Working

Never was a rear hub problem. Removed the right side panels and the motor never turned the parking brake upper hub/cam. Switch was the issue.

    Parking Brake Not Working

Well I'll have to eat my words! Yesterday I tried rocking the switch several times and the parking brake started working. It's working every time. If it fails again it's going into the shop for a new switch.

    Parking Brake Not Working

Kind of dough it's the switch since the bike hasn't been ridden in the rain and I cover it when washing the bike.

    Parking Brake Not Working

I went back and tried pulling the Main 40 amp green fuse under the seat and still no brake release. I'm thinking it's the electric actuator motor. It's going into the dealer Wednesday and hopefully they can figure it out. Thank goodness I purchased the BEST extended warranty. Thanks anyway.

    Parking Brake Not Working

Tried releasing the parking brake on my 2010 RTS and got nothing when I pushed the button this morning. I had to release the cable with the adjustment nuts at the rear wheel to get the bike to move. I've checked all the fuses (under seat and front trunk) and they all look good. Removed the...

    Disapointment With BRP Owners Event

I would have to disagree. I am a long time RVer and have owned several motor homes. We often go to yearly company sponsored rallies (FleetwoodRV) where they have catered meals and other events. They also have multiple seminars/classes setup that revolve around there coaches and the RV life...

What do YOU want to tell BRP at the Owner's Event?

If you're using an aftermarket antenna that hasn't been tuned (SWR) to your CB that is a major problem and could cause your CB final output to burnout when you transmit. The original antenna furnished with the CB is tuned (SWR) to the CB and should not be swapped out with just any antenna.

    Insurance

I had my renewal on my 2010 RTS in hand from State Farm for $485 per year when I started reading this thread. Decided to call a local insurance agency here in VA that has connections to over 30 insurers. I got a quote back from GMAC for the exact same coverage for $236! :yes:It does pay to...

RVers and Owners Event in Maggie Valley

Either night should be ok. We will have an " extra large" site if we need to get more people around a fire as we have reserved both site 82 and 122 to be able to have a pull through for our motor coach and enclosed trailer. They made us a deal on the second site just like they did at the 2011...

MoGang: PLEASE move Spyderfest to MAY

Thank you for saying what I've been thinking for several years. I have not gone to the event simply because it's still cold in April. Late May would be ideal. You can't do anything about rain but there's a much better chance it will be warmer and no snow in late May.

    Air Deflectors

Don't forget the side benefit of having Baker Wings. They help keep the side panels from blowing off.nojoke I'm had them on the RT for a couple years and really like them.
