• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone got the Part # for O-Rings on Final Drive drain plug and level screw?

I looked up the part for the 2020 Ryker Rally and they have it listed as an O ring for the final drive drain. For some reason they did not list it in the 2019 schematics/parts list. Can't imagine they would be different though. The part number is indeed 219800486. $10 . Nothing listed for...

Anyone got the Part # for O-Rings on Final Drive drain plug and level screw?

Ok so for the life of me I cannot find which part number or the correct sealing washers (or O-Rings) that are used for the Final Drive drain plug and level screw. The parts book on-line shows and has the numbers for both Engine Oil drain plugs and also the Gear Box drain and level/fill screw...

Video: Rally ride on Vancouver Island forest service roads.

I have a few on my youtube channel, but do plan to come out with more as time allows. One of the great things about living on the West (some folk call the Wet) Coast, the riding season is long. The snow is definitely creeping down the mountains lately, but in the low lands we can go all winter...

Video: Rally ride on Vancouver Island forest service roads.

Totally, I am a bit envious of my friend with his two-wheeler being able to dodge the holes much easier! But hey, the Rally allows me to get out there and do it, so for that I am more than grateful!

Video: Rally ride on Vancouver Island forest service roads.

I haven't yet been as far as Tofino on the bike. Did go to Port Alberni a few times this summer. That is a nice drive on the bike, some good twisties, and I always love going through Cathedral Forest and seeing the big old growth trees. Pretty amazing just how big those monsters can get! Wish...

Anyone considered towing a Cargo Trailer with their Ryker?

Thanks for the input SportsDoc. The fender/caliper mount seems to be the only option. I thought perhaps coming off the frame in the area around/under the seat, but that would involve significant fabrication to bring it around both sides of the rear wheel and down to an appropriate height. May...

Anyone considered towing a Cargo Trailer with their Ryker?

yes, that is exactly what I was thinking would be perfect. There is a good system they make here in Canada https://www.trailtail.com The mount would be the issue, and yes it could have an effect on the VSS, hard to say until it was tested.

Anyone considered towing a Cargo Trailer with their Ryker?

Are ATV's not CVT? Have not heard you can't use a ATV to tow. They come with tow hitches.

Anyone considered towing a Cargo Trailer with their Ryker?

Given the Ryker has limited storage capacity has anyone considered the possibility of towing a small cargo trailer with the Ryker? I suspect the hitch mount would be the main issue.

How to tell if wheel nut recall was completed

Just to clarify I did not say Sept and November of 2019. I just said September and November. The bike was purchased from the dealer in the Spring of 2019 thus, the bike would have been built prior to that. I just reviewed the VIN tag on the bike the the date says 01/19.

How to tell if wheel nut recall was completed

Since I recently purchased a 2019 Ryker Rally, this recall notice had me concerned. I called BRP today and provided my VIN. I was advised my machine is not on the recall list. I was told the machines are built in batches and it was the machines between September and November that were on this...

    Ryker handlebar handbrake

Firstly, kudos on your production of the handbrake modification on the Ryker Robval1987. For those who may be interested and aware of the ISCI handbrake system that was developed for the Sypders, I contacted ISCI today to ask about a system for the Ryker. I was advised that they had attempted...

    Catastrophic failure

Well I am going to add to the list of non-Kenda fans. Here is why. 2013 ST LTD bought with 1900km. Rear tire replaced this Spring @ 17000km. I was planning a long trip in July and the tire was at the wear bars. I did not want to replace the tire with the OEM but my local authoried Syder dealer...

drive belt - rear axle nut torque

So it is a rainy day today, so no riding unfortunately, but plants and lawn will be happy. So I was looking through the shop manual for my 2013 ST Ltd and reading about the drive belt tension, wondering if this is something I could do myself; check to ensure it is good. I don't have a belt...

    Brake Adjust

photo This is a photo of my ISCI handbrake slave and the only adjustment that I am aware of. From what I understand you set it until the brake light actuator triggers the brake light on, then back it off sufficiently to allow the actuator to turn off, then tighten at that spot.
