• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No Start -- after changing headlight bulb

Changed headlight -- now won't start -- SOLUTION -- Kill Switch Well, the issue is RESOLVED. When you're leaning in the handlebar area, make sure that you don't inadvertently hit the kill switch. If the kill switch is in the OFF position, there is no way that your bike will start! :-) :-)

No Start -- after changing headlight bulb

Changed headlight -- now won't start Thanks. I'll try doing that. It's not a regular mini-fuse … it's a large black R5 … relay, perhaps? I don't want to have to go back in to the headlight area. That is an awful area for a person with large hands. Eccchhhhh ….

No Start -- after changing headlight bulb

Yes, you read that correctly. All I did was change my headlight bulb. Now the bike won't start. Battery is good. Kill switch is where it's supposed to be. I even tried it a few times rocking it back and forth just in case the insides were gunked up. Fuses that I can pull out are all good...

Migration from two-wheel motorcycle to spyder

From Motorcycle to Spyder 1. Easy as pie. The first few times had to mentally remind myself that there was no hand brake lever. The other was that the Spyder does not lean in corners. 2. Sold right away. I knew that I had to move to a Spyder due to hips and knees. 3. Never looked back...

27mph winds. Gusts to 41mph. Would you ride?

Winds and Riding Unfortunately, this area of Canada suffers from some interesting winds at times. The bottom line is that riding in them is not an issue, as opposed to two-wheel motorcycles. Go out and enjoy.

Battery trickle charger vs. Battery Tender??

Battery Tender 101 Winnipeg here. Battery TENDER. Period. Trickle chargers generally require "you" to push the on/off button. If you forget, you can do some serious damage to the battery. A GOOD QUALITY TENDER, however, will sense when it needs to be turned on or off. I didn't come up with...

    BRP Heated Vest

Heated Vest I am told that the BRP vest is a good unit. I can't comment on the life expectancy of the battery, but I know that you can purchase backups. My personal preference was to go for a heated jacket that was hard-wired. Four different heat settings, and the arms are also heated.
